Welcome to Russell Independent Schools!  Our primary focus in our district is to provide the best quality education and opportunities for ALL students.  We take great pride in all of our programs and always strive to be the best that we can be.  From enhanced scholastic opportunities to our diverse array of sports teams and student clubs, ALL students are encouraged to take risks and step outside of their comfort zone to stretch their academic, athletic, and personal identities.  Russell Independent School District is revered for our achievements throughout the years, but we continue to look for new ways to improve and expand opportunities for students – we never stop striving for and maintaining excellence.

The cornerstone to our success is the outstanding involvement and support of parents and our community.  We promote and depend on collaboration among all district constituents – students, parents, faculty, staff, community members, and area businesses, organizations, and post-secondary institutions – to ensure that ALL students are exposed to as many opportunities as possible, have access to the most rigorous preparation available for their future and that they feel encouraged to be their personal best.  It is these combined efforts that best ensure our students are reaching their potential and have the appropriate foundation to reach their goals – because they deserve it!
